There do not exist any more such cities as Mariupol, Borodyanka, Volnovakha, Severodonetsk. They were just wiped off the face of the earth.
Throughout history, the Moscow authorities were the first to remove the most radical friendly elements, as they shot the ideological pro-Russian instigators of separatism in the Ukrainian Donbas, as soon as they occupied it in 2014.
Like during the First World War, having entered Ukrainian Lvov, which used to be the part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, they began to hang and shoot Lvov Galician Russophilians.
Like the Bolsheviks shot and repressed the most ideological activists of the Red Revolution of 1917, when they ceased to be beneficial to the new Bolshevik government that was entrenched in the Kremlin.
