In this video I demonstrate the process of making four wooden spoons with inlay for Christmas Eve.
Christmas has always been an extremely important holiday for all Ukrainians.
On Christmas Eve, 12 fasting dishes are prepared and the whole family gathers at the table in the parents' house. And the main and most important dish of Christmas Eve is kutya. Kutya is prepared from boiled wheat and generously seasoned with honey, poppy seeds, nuts and dried fruits. I made these spoons specifically for spreading the kutya. I plan to keep one spoon for myself, and give the other three to my closest relatives.
Due to the war that Russia started and has been waging in Ukraine for about a year, we could not gather as a family and organize a proper celebration of Christmas on December 25, so we celebrate it on January 7 according to the Julian calendar.
Today, we in Ukraine understand the value of such holidays and are sincerely grateful to all our defenders who restrained the Russian plague that came to Ukrainian land.
We thank all our allies and partners in this war.
We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
Glory to Ukraine!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
