In this video, I restore a pair of large old cast-iron machine vises that were found in a scrap pile. These heavy-duty Soviet-era vises were badly worn and damaged, but instead of sending them to the scrapyard, I decided to give them a second life.
I repair the broken cast iron, weld the damaged parts, clean years of rust and dirt, and restore the vises so they can work in my workshop again.
